Delegation Framework

What to keep, what to delegate, and when to hire

Are You Doing $500/hr Work?

Here's the exercise: list everything you do in a typical week. Every task, no matter how small. Then ask yourself one question about each one: "Would I pay someone $500/hr to do this?"

If the answer is no, it should be delegated. You are the rainmaker. Your job is to generate revenue, build relationships, and close deals. Everything else is support work that someone else can handle, usually better and cheaper than you.

The Goal: Spend 80% of your time on $500/hr activities. Right now, most agents spend 80% on $20/hr tasks and wonder why they're stuck.

Sort Your Tasks

Keep: Revenue-Generating ($500/hr) Delegate: Support Work ($15-30/hr)
Lead generation calls and texts CRM data entry
Listing appointments Appointment scheduling
Buyer consultations Social media posting
Negotiations Listing paperwork
Client relationships File organization
Open house conversations Photo editing
Follow-up calls Email triage
Referral conversations Marketing material creation

Your Weekly Audit

Fill this in honestly. List what you actually spent time on last week.

$500/hr Tasks I Did Tasks I Should Have Delegated
Reality Check: If your "should have delegated" column is longer than your "$500/hr" column, you're working in your business instead of on it. That's fixable, but only if you're honest about it.

The 3-Tier Delegation Priority

You don't need to hire a full team overnight. Start with Tier 1. These are the tasks that are eating your time right now and are the easiest to hand off.
